2026 Apprentice of the Year – Eligibility, Benefits & How to Nominate

Eligible Candidates:

• Final year apprentices in:
  • Flexographic Printing
  • Label Printing
  • Lithographic Printing
  • Digital Printing
  • Pre-Press

​​Requirements:

1. Must have studied at a registered/recognised TAFE college or Training Scheme in Australia or New Zealand
2. Currently employed by:
   • A Flexographic, Label, Lithographic, or Digital converter (for printing apprentices)
   • A Pre-Press House/Platemaker supplying directly to a Flexographic or Label converter (for pre-press apprentices)​​

Candidate Expectations:

• Demonstrate high competency in their trained standards
• Show excellent academic performance
• Display keen interest in flexographic and label printing processes
• Exhibit potential for career growth in the industry

Note: Winning the award does not commit the recipient to a specific career path.

Award Benefits:
The award recipient receives:

1. FPLMA personalised plaque and certificate
2. A certificate for the employer
3. A fully-funded trip to the US FTA (or equivalent) Conference, including:
   • Airfares and accommodation
   • Attendance at the FTA Forum and Print Awards as an FPLMA representative
4. A visit to the manufacturing site of that year's Print Awards Platinum Sponsor
